Description
This kit is designed to bolt onto a stock Nissan Z24 engine – We have shown this kit will give at least a 50% power increase over stock power levels with only 7psi of boost. This exact T3 turbo kit with our blow through 32/36DGV carby kit made 94kW (126hp) @wheels with only 7psi of boost.
With the appropriate supporting mods – such as head porting, intercooler, good induction system & non restrictive exhaust, this kit will support 250hp-300hp (187kW-224kW).
Dyno testing shows typical power figures of 126hp@wheels with 7psi of boost on a completely stock Z24 engine, fitted with our electronic ignition and our 32/36DGV blow through carb kit. At 14psi with a 2.5″ exhaust and intercooler, out kit made 190hp@wheels, again on a stock engine (internally stock with standard head).
This kit works perfectly in conjunction with our blow through carby kit, as shown in photo.
The kit is designed for a Nissan Z series engine, primarily the Z24 as fitted to mid 1980’s D21 Nissan Navara and similar vehicles, however it will bolt to any Z series engine (Z18, Z20 or Z22). This kit will also bolt onto KA24 SOHC engines as they share the same exhaust manifold stud patterns.
TURBO EXHAUST MANIFOLD – cast iron T3 flange
The exhaust manifold supplied is a brand new cast iron T3 flange manifold. Although not used with our internal wastegate turbo, it includes a 38mm external wastegate port and blanking plate and gasket. Part of the decision to use this cast iron manifold was that a lot of vehicles that use the Z24 engine are designed for harsh environments and off road use. Cast iron manifolds are very strong and can stand up to high G loads and vibration whilst supporting the weight of the turbo and exhaust system.
These manifolds are originally designed to bolt to the KA24E engine, so initially have round ports, but we modify them to suit the square port Z24 cylinder head. They have been shown to support over 300hp while still maintaining fast turbo boost response due to their low internal volume, minimizing turbo lag.
TURBOCHARGER – T3
The turbo is brand new T3 Garrett style (not genuine Garrett) plain bearing with internal wastegate. The unit can support over 250hp. All our turbos are VSR balanced and have 360deg thrust bearings. Specs are:

OIL & WATER LINES & DUMP PIPE
Included in the kit are stainless steel braided oil supply line with fittings to connect from the Z24 engine oil gallery to turbo oil inlet, oil drain fittings for turbo and engine crank case breather, oil drain hose and clamps, braided stainless steel -6AN water coolant lines all the fittings required to connect to heater hoses with clamps.
Also a 2.5″ diameter mandrel bent SS304 dump pipe is included. The dump pipe uses a v-band flange and clamp which allows you to rotate the dump pipe to any angle to make it easier to design your new exhaust system or to connect to your existing exhaust.
